Akona Process Solutions German facility

Akona Process Solutions Opens European Test Facility

Cablevey Conveyors, Marion Process Solutions, Kason Corporation, and Spiroflow have united under the new name Akona Process Solutions. As part of this collaboration, the group has launched a new test facility in central Germany. Designed to serve customers across Europe, the site will support testing and development needs while showcasing the benefits of their combined expertise and integrated processing solutions.

Showcasing a Comprehensive Range of Processing Equipment

The 1,000 sqm facility is conveniently located near Frankfurt Airport, offering customers the chance to explore the full range of equipment from all four companies. This includes Spiroflow’s T6 and T3 Bulk Bag Dischargers, 4” and 3” AMC Conveyors, a full range of Flexible Screw Conveyors, Low Profile Bulk Bag Filler, CTE Filler, and SMART 4 Bin. Cablevey’s 6” conveyor with washdown Clean-in-Place functionality is also on display. Kason Corporation showcases the M1 CENTRI-SIFTER, Multi-Deck Sieve, 24” VIBRO-BED Fluid Bed Dryer, VIBROSCREEN, and Lumpbreaker. Completing the lineup is Marion Process Solutions’ M0 Mixer.

Supporting Services and Material Evaluation Capabilities

The test center also features a dedicated spare parts and service hub, along with a powder lab where customer materials can be assessed prior to full-scale testing. In this lab, key characteristics such as bulk density, moisture content, and angle of repose are analyzed to determine material flowability. The facility is also equipped with comprehensive dust extraction to ensure a clean and safe testing environment.

Enhancing Customer Access to Expertise and Innovation

“This new facility offers a comprehensive selection of our products to customers in Europe and beyond,” said Ahmad Karimi, Testing Lab Manager. “For us, it’s all about providing easy access to our capabilities and expertise, as well as the opportunity to see how these technologies can be used to optimise material handling and processing systems.”

Strengthening European Support and Customer Reach

Tom Finnegan, Sales Director Europe for AMP and AHS, added:

“Adding to our portfolio of testing facilities globally, the center represents an important step change in our ability to service our existing blue chip multinational customers and new European based customers quickly to meet needs and requirements across Europe. Being centrally located means that we are well-placed to offer local sales and service support and assist with general customer enquiries.”
