Our Darwen, United Kingdom, location is a flagship facility serving the UK and European markets. Officially opened in October 2024, this modern site offers more than 60,000 square feet of space dedicated to manufacturing, assembly and material testing. It also includes three floors of offices supporting over 50 team members.
The United Kingdom is the original home of Spiroflow UK Ltd and Kason Europe Ltd, two of the four brands that today form Akona Process Solutions. Now operating under the Akona banner, the facility designs and manufactures equipment representing all four brands: Spiroflow, Kason, Cablevey and Marion.
Located near major road, rail and air transport links, the Darwen facility serves customers across the UK and Europe and has also hosted visitors from the Middle East and Asia. The site includes a full inventory of spare parts, dedicated build bays, quality control areas and a test center.
The test bay allows customers to evaluate equipment performance in real-factory conditions. This helps ensure accurate validation and supports the desired process outcomes. Our experienced team provides detailed analysis and thorough documentation of the testing process, giving customers confidence in our equipment.

This state-of-the-art site produces a comprehensive range of
equipment, including bulk bag fillers and dischargers, flexible
screw conveyors, mixers, sifters and integrated control systems.
Facility Opening Event
In October 2024, our Darwen, United Kingdom, facility marked an exciting new chapter with the official launch of four brands united under the name Akona Process Solutions.
The event brought together customers, partners and team members from across the UK, Europe and the United States. Guests toured our state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing areas, experienced live equipment demonstrations and connected directly with our team.
Today, this facility proudly designs and manufactures equipment for all four Akona brands – Spiroflow, Kason, Cablevey and Marion – serving customers across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
